A wave inequality with convolution nonlinearities (Q6181560)

This article discusses the existence and nonexistence of weak solutions to the inequality \(u_{tt}-\Delta u\geq (K_{\alpha_1}\ast |u|^{p_1})(K_{\alpha_1}\ast |u|^{p_1})\) for \((t, x)\in (0, \infty)\times \mathbb{R}^N\setminus B_1\), where \(K_{\alpha_1}(x)=A_i |x|^{\alpha_i-N}\), \(\alpha_i\in (0, N)\), \(i=1,2\). The two main results of the authors provide sufficient conditions for the existence and nonexistence of solutions \(u\) in a certain Lebesgue space. The approach relies on constructing trial functions and on various integral estimates.
