Suppose that \(X_1\) is a smooth projective absolutely irreducible curve over a finite field \(\mathbb{F}_q\), and let \(S_1\) stand for a non zero reduced divisor on \(X_1\). We write \(S_1\) as a disjoint union of subsets \(S^{(1,1)}_1\), \(S^{(2)}_1\), and \(S^{D^{+}}_1\). Suppose that \(| S^{D^{+}}_1 | = 1\), and, in addition to tame semisimple ramification at \(S^{(1,1)}_1\) and \(S^{(2)}_1\), there is a principal unipotent monodromy twisted by a tame character at \(S^{D^{+}}_1\). In the paper under the review, using an explicit form of the trace formula for \(\mathrm{GL}(2)\), the authors determine the cardinality of a set of Galois-invariant isomorphism classes of irreducible \(\overline{\mathbb{Q}}_l\)-smooth sheaves of rank two over \(X_1 - S_1\).
