Assume that \({\mathcal L}_\alpha=- \frac 12 \sum_{j=1}^n (\mathbb{Z}_j \overline{\mathbb{Z}}_j+ \overline{\mathbb{Z}}_j \mathbb{Z}_j)+ i\alpha\mathbb{T}\) is the sub-Laplacian on the non-isotropic Heisenberg group \(\mathbb{H}_n; \mathbb{Z}_j, \overline{\mathbb{Z}}_j\) for \(j=1,2,\dots, n\), and \(\mathbb{T}\) is the basis of the Lie algebra \({\mathcal G}_n\). We apply the Laguerre calculus to obtain the explicit kernel for the fundamental solution of the powers of \({\mathcal L}_\alpha\), and the heat kernel \(\exp\{-s{\mathcal L}_\alpha\}\). Estimates for this kernel in various function spaces can be deduced easily. For the development of the Laguerre calculus on the Heisenberg group see the work of \textit{R. W. Beals, B. Gaveau} and \textit{P. C. Greiner} [Bull. Sci. Math. 121, 1-36 (1997; Zbl 0886.35001), ibid. 121, 97-149 (1997; Zbl 0886.35002), and ibid. 121, 159-259 (1997; Zbl 0886.35003)].
