In the generalization of (sub)mean value property for (sub)harmonic functions the authors have suggested the two-phase version of quadrature domain theory, which can be formulated in the partial differential equations theory as the finding of solution to the equation in \(\mathbb{R}^{N}\) \[ -\Delta u=(\mu_{+}-\lambda_{+})\chi_{\{u>0\}}-(\mu_{-}-\lambda_{-})\chi_{\{u<0\}}, \] where \(\lambda_{\pm}>0\) are the given constants, \(\mu_{\pm}\) are nonnegative bounded Radon measures with compact support. Existence theorem for this equation is proved and geometric properties of solutions are studied.
