The authors give conditions that guarantee the existence of an equilibrium in continuous semiflows. The notion of equilibrium is taken from the theory of random dynamical systems (see [\textit{L. Arnold}, Random dynamical systems. Berlin: Springer (1998; Zbl 0906.34001)]). This work is focused on the case of a continuous skew-product semiflow, induced by a class of abstract finite-delay functional differential equations. In the case were the delay functional differential equations is not periodic, the existence of a an equilibrium is connected with the existence of globally defined solutions. In order to obtain a continuous equilibrium, the authors need to assume another extra condition. The case when the delay functional differential equations is periodic is also analyzed. At the end they give some example.
