    Let \(E,F\) be metric spaces. \(T:E \rightarrow F\) is said to be a coarse \((M,L)\)-quasi-isometry if \(\frac{1}{M}d_E(x,y)-L \leq d_F(Tx,Ty) \leq Md_E(x,y)+L\) for all \(x,y \in E\) and there exists \(\chi >0\) such that, for every \(y \in F\), there exists \(x\in E\) such that, \(d_F(y,Tx) \leq \chi\). Nonlinear Banach-Stone theorems for \(E = C(X)\), \(F=C(Y)\) for compact spaces \(X,Y\), were studied in the 1980s, among others by \textit{K. Jarosz} [Stud. Math. 93, No.~2, 97--107 (1989; Zbl 0695.46010)]. Modifying a technique from this work, the author proves that, when \(T\) is also a bijection with \(T(0)=0\), \(M < \sqrt{1.2}\), then there is a homeomorphism \(\phi : X \rightarrow Y\) and some \(\Delta >0\) (depending only on \(M,L\)) such that, for \(f \in C(X)\), \(x\in X\), \[ ||Tf(\phi(x))|-|f(x)|| \leq 5(M^2-M)\|f\|+\Delta. \]
