In this paper, the authors prove a local lifting theorem for bounded operators that intertwine a pair of jointly subnormal families of unbounded operators. This theorem generalizes an earlier local lifting theorem proved by \textit{Z. Sebestyén, J. E. Thomson} and the present authors [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 134, No.~6, 1687--1699 (2006; Zbl 1115.47021)] for pairs of bounded subnormal operators.
