The authors describe the blocks of the categories of cuspidal weight (and generalised weight) modules over \(\mathfrak{sl}_n = \mathfrak{sl}_n(\mathbb{C})\). The case of cuspidal modules over \(\mathfrak{sp}_{2n}\) has recently been settled by the same authors in [Pac. J. Math. 251, 183--196 (2011; Zbl 1257.17011)]. The main theorem is as follows. Let \(\mathcal{C}\) be the category of finitely generated cuspidal weight modules over \(\mathfrak{sl}_n\), for \(n \geq 2\). Then every non-integral or singular block of \(\mathcal{C}\) is equivalent to the category of finitely generated modules over \(\mathbb{C}[[x]]\). When \(n > 2\), every integral regular block of \(\mathcal{C}\) is equivalent to the category of finitely generated modules over a non-trivial flat one-parameter deformation of some Brauer tree algebra \(A^{n-1}\), explicitly described as the path algebra of a bounded quiver. Similar (but multi-parameter) results are established for cuspidal generalised weight modules. The proof relies on the classification of irreducible weight modules given in [\textit{O. Mathieu}, Ann. Inst. Fourier 50, No. 2, 537--592 (2000; Zbl 0962.17002)], and on the Gelfand-Zetlin realisation of simple cuspidal modules from \textit{V. Mazorchuk} [J. Algebra Appl. 2, No. 1, 1--20 (2003; Zbl 1049.17013)]. In the case of non-integral or singular blocks, category equivalences from modules over formal power series to blocks of cuspidal representations are constructed quite explicitly. The remaining case is obtained by realising integral regular blocks as deformations over singular blocks. The description of deformations of the algebras \(A^{k}\) is also carried out, along with several examples.
