Convexity of quotients of theta functions (Q640975)

The authors prove that some quotients of Jacobi theta functions, namely \(\theta_k(u\mid i\pi t)/\theta_k(v\mid i\pi t)\) for \(k= 2\) and \(3\), are convex functions of \(0< t<\infty\) for fixed \(0\leq u< v< 1/2\). The monotonicity of all quotients have been established by \textit{A. Yu. Solynin}, \textit{K. Schiefermayr} and \textit{A. Yu. Conin} in cooperation with \textit{A. Dixit}.
