The authors study oscillatory sums. Not all oscillatory sums converge, but all seem to be much smaller than their maximal element. Some oscillatory sums show the interlaced sine curves when renormalized, whereas some do not. There are many oscillatory sums where no analytic trick helps, but which nonetheless behave in a very regular way. Here the authors say that they have no idea how general this behaviour is. In a table they give these results. Some examples are plotted.
