Summary: We further the study of noncommutative motives, initiated by \textit{D. C. Cisinski} and the author [Compos. Math. 147, No. 4, 1281--1320 (2011; Zbl 1247.19001); J. K-Theory 9, No. 2, 201--268 (2012; Zbl 1256.19002); Duke Math. J. 145, No. 1, 121--206 (2008; Zbl 1166.18007)]. Our main result is the construction of a simple model, given in terms of infinite matrices, for the suspension in the triangulated category of noncommutative motives. As a consequence, this simple model holds in all the classical invariants such as Hochschild homology, cyclic homology and its variants (periodic, negative,\( \dots \)), algebraic K-theory, topological Hochschild homology, topological cyclic homology, etc.
