One calls \(x\in X\) a repetition point of a dynamical system \((X,T)\) if for every \(\varepsilon >0\) and every \(r\) there is a \(q\) with \(d(T^{n}x,T^{n+q}x)<\varepsilon\) for all \(n\in\{0,1,\dots ,rq\}\). It is shown that an invariant probability measure concentrated on the set of all repetition points has entropy zero. Therefore, the topological entropy of \(T\) is zero if every \(x\in X\) is a repetion point. The authors construct a minimal dynamical system with positive topological entropy having repetition points.
