The authors propose a power penalty method for a fixed nonlinear complementarity problem (MNCP) and under some reasonable conditions they show that the solution to the penalty equation converges to that of the MNCP exponentially as the penalty parameter approaches infinity. Also they develop some numerical methods for mixed complementarity problems; the numerical results confirm their theoretical findings. Numerical mathematicians concerned with nonlinear complementarity problem will find the paper to be very worthwhile in their research. The paper offers an opportunity to attain substantial competence in the topic of research.
