A note on Hardy's inequalities with boundary singularities (Q651163)

There are many Hardy-type inequalities which are all, in some way, generalizations of the classical Hardy inequality. The basic aim of the author here is the continuation and generalization of results on the Hardy- Poincaré inequalities studied by the author and \textit{R. Musina} [J. Inequal. Appl. 2011, Article ID 917201, 21 p. (2011; Zbl 1221.35455)]. In this paper, similar problems are studied and sufficient conditions for the existence of optimal constants in Hardy-Poincaré inequalities involving weight function singular at the boundary \(\partial\Omega\), where \(\Omega\) is a smooth bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) with \(n\geq 1\), are established.
