This paper concerns semilinear second-order parabolic and elliptic PDEs in non-divergence form with mixed boundary conditions and time-periodicity in the parabolic case. An abstract setting of the strong maximum principle, lower and upper solutions and corresponding existence results are presented. Especially, the lower and upper solutions are allowed to be not well-ordered.
