\textit{I. M. Gel'fand} and \textit{G. E. Shilov} [Generalized functions. Vol. I: Properties and operations. New York, NY: Academic Press (1964; Zbl 0115.33101)] have defined the compoşition \(\delta(g(x)) \) for an infinitely differentiable function \(g(x)\) having simple roots at \(x_1,x_2,\ldots,x_n\) where \(\delta(x)\) is the Dirac-delta function. In this paper, the author has extended this definition for an infinitely differentiable function having distinct multiple roots with the use of neutrices theory and also this composition has been examined for functions \(g\) which have different properties. As an application of these results, such illustrative examples have been provided. Furthermore, \(\delta(g_+)\) and \(\delta(g_-)\) have been defined for a locally summable function \(g(x)\).
