The main results of the paper are two theorems on classification of CR-maps of spheres and hyperquadrics. In Theorem 1.2 the author classifies the non-constant real-analytic CR-maps from a connected open set of the sphere in \(\mathbb C^2\) to the hyperquadric of signature \((2,1)\) in \(\mathbb C^3\). This complements a result by \textit{J. J. Faran} on CR-maps from the sphere in \(\mathbb C^2\) to the sphere in \(\mathbb C^3\) [Invent. Math. 60, 135--172 (1980; Zbl 0464.32011)]. In Theorem 1.5 the author proves that rational CR-maps of degree 2 from the sphere in \(\mathbb C^n\) (\(n\geq 2\)) to the sphere in \(\mathbb C^N\) are spherically equivalent to monomial maps and classifies them. This generalises a result by \textit{S. Ji} and \textit{Y. Zhang} for \(n=2\) [Sci. China, Ser. A 52, No. 12, 2647--2667 (2009; Zbl 1211.32009)]. In the proofs normal forms of Hermitian operators are used.
