Join-distributive elements in the lattice of closed subgroups of a profinite group (Q6569347)

Let \(G\) be a profinite group and let \(\mathcal{L}_{c}(G)\) (\(\mathcal{L}_{o}(G)\)) be the lattice of all closed (open) subgroups of \(G\).\N\NThe main results of the paper under review provide characterizations of join-distributive elements (Theorem 12) and neutral elements (Theorems 15 and 17, and Corollary 18) of \(\mathcal{L}_{c}(G)\) and \(\mathcal{L}_{o}(G)\).
