The article studies MDS multi-twisted Reed-Solomon codes. These codes were introduced by \textit{P. Beelen} et al. [IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory 68, No. 5, 3047--3061 (2022; Zbl 1497.94156)] and have recently gathered significant interest. The work under review first obtains necessary and sufficient conditions for multi-twisted Reed-Solomon codes to be MDS. Then, the authors focus on double-twisted Reed-Solomon codes, and they provide algebraic criteria for these codes to be MDS. Finally, in the last section, the paper studies the existence of multi-twisted Reed-Solomon codes with small-dimensional hull and compares their results with the current literature.
