The author proves the following generalization of a result by Grove, Petersen and Wu in the orbifold category. For any \(k\in \mathbb{R}\), \(D>0\), \(v>0\) and \(n\in \mathbb{N}\), the collection of closed \(n\)-dimensional orbifolds having sectional curvature universally bounded from below by \(k\), diameter bounded from above by \(D\), volume bounded from below by \(v\), and having only isolated singular points, contains orbifolds of only finitely many orbifold category homeomorphism-types. As a consequence, it follows that any collection of Laplace isospectral orbifolds having a uniform lower bound on the sectional curvature and only isolated singular points contains orbifolds of only finitely many orbifold category homeomorphism-types. After presenting background information, the author proves the existence of a special type of orbifold chart above each of the orbifolds in the considered collection. Each of these charts lies above a ball of a certain universally fixed radius about a singular point. The author obtains a partition of the entire collection into a finite number of subcollections such that the orbifolds in each subcollection have the same number and types of singular points. Then, any sequence of orbifolds from this subcollection must have a convergent subsequence. The limit space carries an orbifold structure with the same number and types of singular points as orbifolds in the subsequence. The homeomorphism guaranteed by the Perelman stability theorem is an orbifold category homeomorphism.
