Liouville type theorems, namely rigidity theorems for entire solutions of certain partial differential equations, appear often in geometric analysis. In this paper, the authors prove a Liouville type theorem for minimal hypersurfaces \(M\) lying on one side of a minimal cylindrical hypercone. The theorem extends a recent result of \textit{L. Simon} [Ars Inven. Anal. 2021, Paper No. 5, 35 p. (2021; Zbl 1481.53083)], holds under some density bounds and shows that such an \(M\) coincides with the hypersurface associated to the cone foliation of \textit{R. Hardt} and \textit{L. Simon} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 263, 102--129 (1985; Zbl 0577.49031)].
