Three different methods for calculation of algebraic entropy of a birational map of the projective space into itself are presented. Their effectiveness is demonstrated on two examples of maps. The first example is a well known birational map, while for the second one there is no rigorous proof for the value of entropy, but the presented work demonstrates that two proposed methods strongly suggest the possible value.
