Let \(F\) be a non Archimedean local field of characteristic zero. Set \(G_n\) to be a split special orthogonal group \(SO_{2n+1}(F)\) or a symplectic group \(Sp_{2n}(F)\). Use \(\mathcal{R}(G_n)\) to denote the Grothedieck group of the category of smooth representations of \(G_n\) of finite length. Thus \([\pi]\) is the corresponding element of the Grothendieck group if \(\pi\) is an object in this category. For \(GL_n(F)\), Lapid and Minguez defined the notion of ladder representations \(\pi\) and proved a determinantal formula for \([\pi]\) in terms of its inducing datum. The main contribution of the current paper is to generalize the notion of ladder representation to classical groups \(G_n\), and establish a an analog determinantal formula for \([\pi]\). The author also compute Jacquet module and the Aubert duals for the ladder representations. The proof is based on an inductive argument.
