Let \(\chi \pmod q\) be a Dirichlet character. The Dirichlet \(L\)-function \(L(s,\chi)\) is defined by the absolutely convergent Dirichlet series \N\[\NL(s,\chi) =\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}\frac{\chi(n)}{n^{s}}\N\]\Nin the half-plane \(Re(s) > 1\).\N\NIn this paper under review, the author proves in Theorem 1.1 an explicit version of Vinogradov-Korobov zero-free region (known for the Riemann zeta function) for Dirichlet \(L\)-functions. For instance, he proves that :for \(q\geq1\) and \(\chi(mod \ q)\) a Dirichlet character, the Dirichlet \(L\)-function \(L(\sigma+it,\chi)\) does not vanish in the region \N\[\N\sigma\geq1-\frac{1}{10.5\log q+61.5(\log|t|)^{2/3}(\log\log|t|)^{1/3}},\ \ |t|\geq10.\N\]\NFurthermore, he proves that there exists an absolute and effectively computable constant \(Y > 0\) such that \(L(\sigma+it,\chi)\) does not vanish in the region \N\[\N\sigma\geq1-\frac{1}{10.1\log q+49.13(\log|t|)^{2/3}(\log\log|t|)^{1/3}},\ \ |t|\geq Y.\N\]
