Let \(C\) be a planar convex body. The \textit{axial symmetry measure with respect to folding} of \(C\) is defined as the quotient \[ \text{masf}(C)=\dfrac{2\max_m\text{area}(C_m)}{\text{area}(C)}, \] where \(C_m\) represents the subset of \(C\), cut off by a straight line \(m\), which remains inside \(C\) after folding it along \(m\). In this paper the author shows the sharp inequality \(\text{masf}(P)>1/2\) for every parallelogram \(P\). She also conjectures that the above bound is also true for the family of all centrally symmetric planar convex bodies.
