      Fix \(m\in \mathbb{N}\), \(m\ge 2\), and let \(Y\) be a real vector space of at least dimension \(m\). Let \(\Vert \cdot,\dots,\cdot\Vert:Y^m \to \mathbb{R}\) be a function with the following properties:\N\begin{itemize}\N\item[(i)] \(\Vert x_1,\dots,x_m\Vert=0\) if and only if the vectors \(x_1,x_2,\dots,x_m\) are linearly dependent;\N\N\item[(ii)] \(\Vert x+y,x_2,\dots,x_m\Vert \le \Vert x,x_2,\dots,x_m\Vert +\Vert y,x_2,\dots,x_m\Vert\);\N\N\item[(iii)] \(\Vert \alpha x_1,x_2,\dots,x_m\Vert=|\alpha|\Vert x_1,x_2,\dots,x_m\Vert\), \(\alpha\in \mathbb{R}\);\N\N\item[(iv)] \(\Vert x_1,x_2,\dots,x_m\Vert\) is invariant under permutations.\N\end{itemize}\NThe function \(\Vert \cdot,\dots,\cdot\Vert:Y^m \to \mathbb{R}\) is called \(m\)-norm on \(Y\) and the pair \((Y,\Vert \cdot,\dots,\cdot\Vert)\) is an \(m\)-normed space.\N\NA sequence \(\{x_n\}\) of \((Y,\Vert \cdot,\dots,\cdot\Vert)\) is a Cauchy sequence provided\N\[\N\lim_{n,k \to \infty} \Vert x_n-x_k,y\Vert=0, \quad y\in Y^{m-1},\N\]\Nand it is said to be convergent if there exists a \(y\in Y\) such that\N\[\N\lim_{n \to \infty} \Vert x_n-y,z\Vert=0, \quad z\in Y^{m-1}.\N\]\NAn \(m\)-Banach space refers to an \(m\)-normed space where every Cauchy sequence converges.\N\NIn the paper [\textit{K. Ciepliński}, Bull. Malays. Math. Sci. Soc. (2) 46, No. 2, Paper No. 62, 11 p. (2023; Zbl 1510.39019)] it has been proved the Ulam-Hyers stability of the functional equation\N\[\N\begin{aligned} &\sum_{i_1,\dots,i_n\in \{-1,1\}} f(a_{1i_1,\dots,i_n}(x_{11}+i_1x_{12})),\dots,f(a_{ni_1,\dots,i_n}(x_{n1}+i_nx_{n2}))=\\\N&\sum_{j_1,\dots,j_n\in \{1,2\}} A_{j_1,\dots,j_n} f(x_{1j_1},\dots,x_{nj_n}),\\\N\end{aligned}\N\]\Nwhere \(f:X^n \to Y\), \(X\) is a vector space over a field \(\mathbb{F}\) and \(Y\) is a \((m+1)\)-Banach space, \(a_{1,i_1,\dots,i_n},\dots, a_{n,i_1,\dots,i_n}\in \mathbb{F}\) and \(A_{j_1,\dots,j_n}\in \mathbb{R}\), under the conditions that \(f(x_{11},x_{21},\dots,x_{n1})=0\) for any \((x_{11},x_{21},\dots,x_{n1})\in X^n\) where at least one component equals zero, and assuming that\N\[\N\Big|\sum_{j_1,\dots,j_n\in \{1,2\}} A_{j_1,\dots,j_n}\Big|>1.\N\]\N\NIn the paper under review the stability of the above equation is proved without the previous restrictive conditions. Several corollaries are then deduced.\N\NIn the last section of the paper the general solution of the equation\N\[\Nf(x_{11}+x_{12},x_{21}+x_{22})+f(x_{11}-x_{12},x_{21}-x_{22})=A_{1,1}f(x_{11},x_{21})+A_{1,2}f(x_{11},x_{22}),\N\]\Nwhere \(f:G \times G \to Y\), \(G\) being an Abelian group and \(Y\) being a vector space.
