The authors construct a local basis, and an associated dual basis, for a \(C^1\)-continuous isogeometric spline space over a given analysis-suitable \(G^1\) multipatch parametrization of the class introduced by \textit{A. Collin} et al. [Comput. Aided Geom. Des. 47, 93--113 (2016; Zbl 1418.65017)]. The article contatins numerical experiments which exhibit the optimal approximation order in \(L^2\) and \(L^\infty\) of the \(C^1\)-continuous isogeometric spline space.
