The author presents a unified look at the modelling of continuous media using the kinematic and geometric concepts of tetrads, connection and metric fields. Here, while both the tetrads and connection finally play the role of dynamic variables, the metric is ``nondynamic'' and it can be eliminated from the formulation yielding the Lagrangians of Nambu type in string theory. The formal theory thus obtained affords the possibility to describe simultaneously fields of different natures. In particular, it could be applicable to the description of continuous media with complex internal structure placed in external fields. Only Polish works are cited in reference.
