Continuous collections of hereditarily indecomposable continua (Q675117)

This paper is a good survey of results and questions concerning continuous collections of hereditarily indecomposable continua. Subjects covered include construction of continuous decompositions, lifting of homeomorphisms from the decomposition space to the decomposed space, characterization of possible elements of continuous decompositions along with the possible embeddings of the elements, and the relationships among homogeneous continua and their continuous decompositions. The focus is on continuous decompositions of the plane and of one-dimensional continua.
