The method of extension of results on relaxation oscillation in systems of ordinary differential equations to the following class of systems of difference-differential equations \[ \begin{aligned} \dot N_1&= \lambda(1+a)^{-1} [1+a(1-N_2)- N_1(t-1)N_1], \tag{1}\\ \dot N_2&= r[N_1-N_2(t-h)]N_2, \tag{2}\end{aligned} \] is considered. System (1)--(2) has an ecology meaning: \(N_1\) and \(N_2\) are the densities of the populations of the prey and predator, respectively; \(a>0\) is the coefficient of pressure of the predator on the prey, which leads to a \((1+a)\)-fold decrease in the size of the population of the prey, \(h\) is the time during which a change in the generations occurs in the population of the predator (for the prey it is equal to 1), \(r\) is its coefficient of linear growth, \(\lambda\) is the Malthusian coefficient of linear growth of the prey. The problem of the structure of an attractor of positive solutions of Syst. (1)--(2) is considered.
