In the first part of the paper, the author associates to each real hypersurface defined by a homogeneous polynomial a pseudo-Kähler tube and a complex Lagrangean cone. Then, based on the above constructions he obtains classifications of both homogeneous Riemannian hypersurfaces and transitive linear reductive algebraic group actions on pseudo-Riemannian hypersurfaces.
