One-dimensional Schrödinger operators with \(\delta\)-potentials at increasing points \(x_n\) with strength \(a_n\) plus a bounded potential are studied. The main result announced in this paper is that there is no absolutely continuous spectrum, if the minimal distance between the sites of the delta potential is positive, if \(x_n\rightarrow\pm \infty\) as \(n\rightarrow\pm\infty\), and if the the coupling constants \(a_n\) are unbounded when \(n\) tends to \(\pm \infty\).
