The author discusses (without proofs) some results for so-called recurrent spline approximants to a given univariate function. While normally the coefficients in an approximating \(B\)-spline series are determined by applying certain linear functionals to the given function, a coefficient in a recurrent approximant depends also linearly on some of those coefficients already computed. In this case, existing general results are applied to recurrent quadratic spline approximants that preserve quadratic polynomials, including the statement of a theorem on the approximation error for some recurrent splines with equidistant knots. Note: the English translation is not of very high quality.
