The singular modular forms on the 27-dimensional exceptional domain (Q679469)

The non-constant singular modular forms on the 27-dimensional exceptional domain are exactly those of weights 4 and 8 [\textit{H. L. Resnikoff}, Am. J. Math. 95, 321-332 (1973; Zbl 0276.32023); Math. Ann. 215, 173-193 (1975; Zbl 0304.32019)]. They were constructed by \textit{H. H. Kim} [Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 9, 139-200 (1993; Zbl 0777.11015)] using analytic continuation of non-holomorphic Eisenstein series. The author reproves Kim's result (Theorems 1 and 2). In his construction the corresponding modular forms arise from theta series on the Cayley half-plane of degree two.
