Harmonic analysis on the infinite dimensional unitary group \(U(\infty)\) has been developed by Olshanski and others. \(U(\infty)\) is densely embedded in a certain projective limit \(\varprojlim U(n)\) of finite dimensional unitary groups and \(\chi\) is defined as the associated projective limit of the normalised Haar measures on the \(U(n)\). The Hardy space \(H^2_{\chi}\) on \(U(\infty)\) is considered and an analogue \(\mathcal F:H^2_{\chi}\rightarrow H^2_w\) of Paley-Wiener isomorphism is obtained, where \(H^2_w\) is the space of Hilbert-Schmidt analytic entire functions taking values in a separable Hilbert space on which \(U(\infty)\) acts irreducibly. Applications to Gauss-Weierstrass semigroups on \(H^2_{\chi}\) and to representations of the complexified infinite dimensional Heisenberg group on \(H^2_{\chi}\) are presented.
