    Let \(k\geq 2\) be a fixed integer, \(\alpha_1, \dots, \alpha_k\) be real numbers and denote \(p\) a prime number. Let \(\{p^{\alpha_i}\}\) denote the fractional part of \(p^{\alpha_i}\). Define \(\Gamma = \Gamma (\xi_1,\eta_1, \dots, \xi_k, \eta_k)\subset \mathbb{R}^k\) by \(\Gamma := \{(x_1, \dots, x_k)\in \mathbb{R}^k \; | \; \xi_i < x_i < \eta_i, \; 1\leq i\leq k\}\), where \(0 \leq \xi_i < \eta_i \leq 1\) for \(i= 1, 2, \dots, k.\) Let \(\mu(\Gamma)=\prod_{i=1}^k (\eta_i - \xi_i)\) denote the volume of \(\Gamma\) and \(S(x, \Gamma)\) denote the number of primes not exceeding \(x\) and satisfying the condition \[ (\{p^{\alpha_1}\}, \{p^{\alpha_2}\}, \dots, \{p^{\alpha_k}\})\in \Gamma. \] For \textit{small} powers \(0 < \alpha_k < \dots < \alpha_1 < 1,\) \textit{D. I. Tolev} [J. Number Theory 37, 298--306 (1991; Zbl 0724.11043)] proved that \[ S(x, \Gamma) = \pi (x) \left( \mu (\Gamma) + O (x^{-\delta/3} \log^{k+9} x) \right) \] with \(\delta = \min (1-\alpha_1, \alpha_1-\alpha_2, \dots, \alpha_{k-1}-\alpha_k, \alpha_k, 1/4).\) The value of \(\delta\) was improved in several cases by \textit{W. Zhai} [J. Number Theory 86, 133--155 (2001; Zbl 1001.11029)]. In the paper under review the author considers the \textit{large} powers case and proves that, for \(s < \alpha_k < \dots < \alpha_1 < s+1\) with sufficiently large positive integer \(s\), \[ S(x, \Gamma) = \pi (x) \left( \mu (\Gamma) + O (x^{-\delta} \log^{k+5.5} x)\right) \] with \(\delta = \frac {1}{4320 (s+2)^2 \log (s+2)}.\)
