Two types of results about the lineability of certain classes of real-valued functions on topological spaces are studied: the first type of results is about Baire/Borel functions and the second type of results is about continuous functions. The lineability means the following: for a cardinal number \(\eta,\) a subset \(A\) of a vector space \(X\) is said to be \(\eta\)-lineable if there exists a vector subspace \(Z \subset X\) of dimension \(\eta\) with \(Z \subset A \cup \{ 0 \}\).
