The authors estimate different norms of eigenfunctions of the Laplacian on the flat torus. Their main theorem says that for any \(d = 2,3\) and any hypersurface \(\Sigma\subset T^d\) of non-zero curvature there exist constants \(0<c<C<\infty\) and \(\Lambda >0\), all depending on \(\Sigma\), so that for any eigenvalue \(\lambda > \Lambda\) of the Laplacian on \(T^d\) the norms of the corresponding eigenfunction \(\phi_\lambda\) satisfy \[ c\| \phi_\lambda\|_2\leq \| \phi_\lambda\| _{L^2(\Sigma)}\leq C\|\phi_\lambda\|_2. \] This theorem improves earlier results due to \textit{N. Burq} et al. [Duke Math. J. 138, No. 3, 445--486 (2007; Zbl 1131.35053)]. Several interesting corollaries are derived from the main theorem.
