Let \(A,B,X,Y,S,T\in\mathbb{C}^{n\times n}\). The authors give upper bounds for the \(j\)-th largest singular value of certain matrices \(M\). First (Theorem 2.1), \(M=AXB^*+BYA^*\), and \(X,Y\ge O\) (nonnegative definite). Second (Theorem 2.2), \(M=(TS+S^*T^*)/2\), and \(T\) is invertible. Third and fourth (Theorems 2.3 and 2.4), \(M=AXB^*\pm BYA^*\). They also present corollaries, and compare some bounds.
