For the summatory function of the divisor function \(\tau\) we have from the Dirichlet method the formula \(\sum_{n\leq x} \tau(n)=x\log x+(2\gamma -1)x+h(x)\) where \(\gamma\) is the Euler-Mascheroni constant and \(h(x)\) is the error term. Let \(\alpha\) be a positive irrational number and \(m\) be a positive integer. Set \(\Vert m\alpha\Vert =\min_{n\in\mathbb Z}\mid m\alpha -n\mid\). Let \(f:<1,\infty)\to (0,\infty)\) be an increasing function such that \(f^{-1}(x)=O(x^{\frac 14})\). Suppose that there exist positive real number \(C\) such that \(\Vert m\alpha\Vert\geq\frac C{f(m)}\) for all sufficiently large integers \(m\). Then the author proves that \(\int_1^X h(x)h(x\alpha) dx \ll_{\varepsilon} \frac {X^{\frac 32}}{f^{-1}(X^{\frac 14})^{\frac 32-\varepsilon}}\). In addition if \(\alpha\) has finite irrationality measure \(\mu +1<\frac 52\) then \(\int_1^X h(x)h(x\alpha) dx \ll_{\varepsilon} X^{\frac 32-\frac 18+\varepsilon}\).
