Locally decodable codes and the failure of cotype for projective tensor products (Q691556)

In this research announcement, the authors show that, for \(p_1,p_2,p_3 \in (1,\infty)\) such that \(\frac{1}{p_1}+\frac{1}{p_2}+\frac{1}{p_3} \leq 1\), the projective tensor product space \(\ell_{p_{1}}\widehat{\otimes}\ell_{p_{2}}\widehat{\otimes}\ell_{p_{3}}\) does not have finite cotype.
