The authors investigate the properties of Chebyshev polynomials associated with Jacobi weights, focusing in particular on the monotonicity of their corresponding Widom factors. This research builds upon the foundational work of \textit{S. Bernstein} [J. Math. Pures Appl. (9) 9, 127--177 (1930; JFM 56.0947.04); J. Math. Pures Appl. (9) 10, 219--286 (1931; Zbl 0003.00702)], which established the asymptotic behavior of the related Chebyshev norms.\N\NTheir approach includes a detailed analysis of a Bernstein-type inequality for Jacobi polynomials, as proposed by \textit{Y. Chow} et al. [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 121, No. 3, 703--709 (1994; Zbl 0802.33010)], thereby enriching the existing literature and contributing significantly to our understanding of the asymptotic uniform bounds of Jacobi polynomials, while offering new insights that may influence future research in this area.\N\NMoreover, they establish a relation between weighted Chebyshev polynomials on the unit circle and Jacobi-weighted Chebyshev polynomials on the interval \([-1,1]\), extending the work of \textit{M. Lachance} et al. [Math. Z. 168, 105--116 (1979; Zbl 0393.30004)]. To complete the picture, they also provide numerical experiments for the remaining cases not covered by their proof.
