Chern classes of tropical vector bundles (Q692552)

This paper introduces notions of tropical intersection theory, in particular tropical vector bundles and their Chern classes. It follows the paper [\textit{L. Allermann} and \textit{J. Rau}, Math. Z. 264, No. 3, 633--670 (2010; Zbl 1193.14074)] and can hardly be read without it. After the relevant definitions, some basic properties of vector bundles and Chern classes are proved. The new technique is applied to the situation of vector bundles on a tropical elliptic curve: the author classifies all indecomposable vector bundles. His classification result is in accordance with the analogous result in algebraic geometry.
