Let \( \{F_n\}_{n \ge 0} \) be the usual classical Fibonacci sequences given by the linear recurrence realtion \( F_0=0, F_1=1 \), and \( F_{n+2}=F_{n+1}+F_n \) for all \( n\ge 0 \). The Pisano period, \( \pi(m) \) is the least period of the Fibonacci sequence taken modulo \( m \). In the paper under review, the authors use a clever combination of results and elementary techniques in number theory to prove several conjectures connecting the zeros in the Pisano period to the prime factors of \(K\)-Fibonacci numbers. The congruence classes of indices for \(K\)-Fibonacci numbers that are multiples of the prime factors of \(m\) completely determine the number of zeroes, \( \omega (m) \) in the Pisano period modulo \(m\).
