All rings considered in this paper are commutative with identity. Let \(R\) be a commutative ring and \(S\) a multiplicative subset of \(R.\) In this paper under review, the authors introduce the concept of \(S\)-\(n\)-absorbing ideals. An ideal \(I\) of \(R,\) disjoint from \(S,\) is called \(S\)-\(n\)-absorbing if there exits \(s\in S\) such that for any \(r_{1},\dots r_{n+1}\in R,\) \(r_{1}\dots r_{n+1}\in I\) implies that \(s\displaystyle \prod_{\substack{1 \le i \le n+1 \\\Ni \ne j}} r_{i} \in I,\) for some \(1 \leq j \leq n+1.\) This concept generalizes both \(S\)-prime ideals and \(n\)-absorbing ideals. The authors study the basic properties of \(S\)-\(n\)-absorbing ideals. In particular, they investigate how such ideals behave under passage to quotient rings, products of rings, and amalgamations of rings. They also show that many properties of \(S\)-prime ideals and \(n\)-absorbing ideals carry over to the class of \(S\)-\(n\)-absorbing ideals.
