Let \(\Gamma\) be a finite graph. A metric space \(X\) is said to meet \(\Gamma\)-comparison if for any set of points \(\left\{v_{i} \mid i\in V\left(\Gamma\right) \right\}\) in \(X\) there exists a set of points\(\left\{\tilde{v}_{i} \mid i\in V\left(\Gamma\right) \right\}\) in the Hilbert space \(\mathbb{H}\) (called model configuration) such that \(\left| \tilde{v}_{i} - \tilde{v}_j \right|_{\mathbb{H}} \leq \left| v_i - v_j\right|_{X} \) for all adjacent \(i,j\in V\left(\Gamma\right)\) and \(\left| \tilde{v}_{i} - \tilde{v}_j \right|_{\mathbb{H}} \geq \left| v_i - v_j\right|_{X} \) for all non-adjacent \(i,j\in V(\Gamma)\).\N\NWhen \(\Gamma\) is the 4-cycle graph \(C_{4}\), \(\Gamma\)-comparison is known to be equivalent to the classical \(CAT(0)\)-condition. Recall that the \(\mathrm{CAT}(0)\)-property requires distances in a geodesic triangle to be bounded by those in its Euclidean comparison triangle; \(\Gamma\)-comparison generalizes this by considering arbitrary graphs.\N\NThis paper focuses on the octahedron graph \(O_{3}\). Since \(C_{4}\) is an induced subgraph of \(O_{3}\), any space meeting \(O_{3}\)-comparison is necessarily a \(\mathrm{CAT}\left(0\right)\)-space. A central open question in this field is whether the converse is true: does \(O_{3}\)-comparison hold for all geodesic \(\mathrm{CAT}\left(0\right)\)-spaces?\N\NThe authors provide a partial answer to this question by proving that \(O_{3}\)-comparison holds in metric trees and their products. These spaces are extremely hyperbolic \(\mathrm{CAT}\left(0\right)\)-spaces. Through a concrete geometric argument, the paper demonstrates that the six-point configurations in these tree-like structures always admit the required model configurations in \(\mathbb{H}\).
