In the ``Modular control of Boolean network models'' paper the authors address the task and challenge of predicting gene regulation and linking it in a functional manner to singalling and other metabolic mechanisms. They propose a framework, relying on Boolean networks and decompositions on canonical semidirect product, for exporing modularity. Following a comprehensive overview of theoretical concepts related to Boolean networks, the authors move on to regulatory modules, and approaches for controlling the properties of the nextwork via modularity parameters and canalization. Blood cancer large granular lymphocyte (TLGL) leukemia is presented as case study.
