A fully augmented link in \(S^{3}\) is obtained from a twist-reduced diagram of a link by adding an unknotted component, called a crossing circle, around each twist region, so that a crossing circle bounds a twice-punctured disk. This notion is naturally generalized to a fully augmented link in the thickened torus \(T^{2} \times I\).\N\NOn the other hand, a biperiodic link is the preimage of a link in \(T^{2} \times I\) by the universal covering map. \textit{A. Champanerkar} et al. [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 99, No. 3, 807--830 (2019; Zbl 1456.57004)] studied the geometry of alternating link complements in \(T^{2} \times I\) using their decompositions into torihedra, which are toroidal analogs of polyhedra. They proposed the volume density conjecture on the ratios of hyperbolic volumes and crossing numbers for a sequence of alternating hyperbolic links in \(S^{3}\) that Følner converges to a biperiodic alternating link.\N\NIn this paper, the author shows that a fully augmented link in \(T^{2} \times I\) with some weak assumption is hyperbolic by describing a decomposition into two isometric right-angled hyperbolic torihedra. The existence of such torihedra follows from a result on circle patterns on the torus by \textit{A. I. Bobenko} and \textit{B. A. Springborn} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 356, No. 2, 659--689 (2004; Zbl 1044.52009)]. Furthermore, the author proves the volume density conjecture for fully augmented links on the ratios of hyperbolic volumes and numbers of augmentations.
