In this paper the author studies non-symmetric convergence and regularity in the category of quasi-convergence spaces, whose objects are sets endowed with a convergence structure defined in terms of so-called pair filters and additionally in the category of biconvergence spaces whose objects are sets with two convergence structures, formerly considered by \textit{W. J. Pervin} and \textit{H. J. Biesterfeldt jun.} [Math. Ann. 177, 43--48 (1968; Zbl 0155.50402)]. It is shown that the two mentioned constructs are closely related. Regularity has applications in the quasimetrization of bitopological or of quasi-uniform spaces, and the usual notion employed is pairwise regularity. Furthermore the author is looking at appropriate generalizations of regularity for quasi-convergence spaces and for biconvergence spaces. He defines the regularity notions in terms of closures of sets and by diagonal axioms. And at the end the author characterizes so a weaker notion in terms of continuous convergence and in terms of continuous mappings defined on subspaces. In consequence this shows that the weaker regularity notion is suitable in the context of non-symmetric convergence by applying to function spaces or to the extensions of mappings.
