Differential relations of functionals associated with 2-orthogonal eigenfunctions (Q6956097)

In this paper, the author examines 2-orthogonal polynomial sequences that satisfy a third-order differential equation with polynomial coefficients of bounded degree, exhibiting a structure analogous to Bochner's equation. By analyzing a third-order differential operator that preserves polynomial degree, the work derives several properties of the dual sequence associated with the corresponding 2-orthogonal polynomial eigenfunctions. Furthermore, the identities fulfilled by the principal forms allow the author to investigate Hahn's property, that is, whether the sequence of derivatives also constitutes a 2-orthogonal polynomial sequence.\N\NFor the entire collection see [Zbl 1557.33001].
